Is It Time to Stop Writing on Medium?

Why I started

I started writing articles because it helped me summarize ideas and review topics. Watching tutorials is easy, but writing and talking about them is hard. Even a simple topic can be difficult to explain.

It’s all about time

It takes time… Writing some articles takes time. Since April, I’ve noticed that my earnings have gone down — a lot.

Currently, I make about $60 a month. You might say that’s okay, but it requires me to write an article every day.

Sometimes, I even write more than one article a day. Let’s say one article takes about an hour to write, and with 30 days in a month, that means I make $2 per hour.

The new articles practically make no money, even though I have over 500 articles on Medium.

If I had to start over, I would make almost nothing.

I will watch it

I’ll see how it goes. I’ve been playing with this idea for a long time, so I can spend the time writing apps.

It’s also a good approach to learning something.

YouTube is growing, and there’s a lot of free information available. ChatGPT can provide quick information about almost anything.
